PALMDALE – A man was found dead Monday in a Palmdale motel room, the apparent result of a violent struggle, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 12:01 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, on the 200 block of East Palmdale Boulevard, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The man was found by motel housekeeping staff who entered the room to clean it, officials said in the news release, which did not name the motel.
“Palmdale Station deputies responded… regarding a medical rescue call. Upon the deputies’ arrival, they discovered a male adult unresponsive in a room. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene,” the sheriff’s news release states.
“Based on the positioning of the body, the cause of death was not apparent nor were the investigators able to determine the male’s age or race. It appeared as if a violent struggle had occurred at the scene,” the news release continued.
An autopsy will determine the cause of death. No further details were immediately released.
