Man shot at Lancaster house party, expected to survive

LANCASTER – A man is expected to survive gunshot wounds suffered Saturday night while attending a house party in Lancaster, authorities said.

Deputies were dispatched around 10:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, to the 2500 block of East Avenue J-2, according to a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster station, who added that the shooting victim was expected to survive his injuries.

Paramedics took one person to a hospital, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.

No further information was immediately available. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to contact the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at 661-948-8466.
