Dozens of missing kids recovered in joint L.A. County-based operation

by City News Service • January 25, 2021 12 Comments

LOS ANGELES – Almost three-dozen missing children — including eight who were being sexually exploited at the time of recovery — were found in a recent operation in Los Angeles County, the FBI announced.

During January, which is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the FBI worked with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and more than two-dozen law enforcement and non-governmental partners to identify, locate and recover 33 missing children, Kristi K. Johnson, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles field office, said Saturday.

Exact details about the operation, nicknamed “Los Angels,” were not available.

Of the children recovered, eight were being sexually exploited at the time of recovery. Two were recovered multiple times during the operation while on the “track,” a term commonly used to describe a known location for commercial sex trafficking, Johnson said.

Several of the victims had been sexually exploited in the past and were considered vulnerable missing children prior to their recovery. Additionally, the operation resulted in the arrest on state charges of one suspected human trafficker and the opening of multiple investigations. Some of the minor victims were arrested for probation violations, robbery or other misdemeanors, and one child was a victim of a non-custodial parental kidnapping, according to the FBI.

The FBI case load for both sex and labor trafficking-related crimes has increased significantly in the past several years. As of November, there were more than 1,800 pending trafficking investigations including those involving minors exploited through commercial sex trafficking, according to the agency.

How sad and appalling that human trafficking is turned into a political issue. Self-centered people promoting their own political agenda over the real tragedy of exploitation.

What the hell is wrong with some of these law enforcement agencies these days? They arrested the kids they saved for probation violations? Really? They couldn’t just put them somewhere safe and enjoy not being sexually exploited for a minute then later have the child and an advocate work with probation to come to some conclusion other than jail or at least do it later. Ok we will take ya off the stroll where you are being forced to work and put you somewhere at least as bad like jail. Come on. Makes me wanna puke.

STFU! Seriously! They were probably found in the possession of a crazed Trump supporter from 4chan or 8Kun. Same idiots posting all the time about #savethechildren are the same people who probably have questionable shit in their hard drives.
