Man found shot, killed in Llano

LLANO – Sheriff’s homicide detectives are trying to determine who shot a man whose body was found in Llano by recreational shooters.

The body was discovered around 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, near 233rd Street East, three-tenths of a mile north of Highway 18, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

“When homicide detectives arrived, they learned that Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the location for a ‘person down’ call. Upon their arrival, they found a male adult suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso,” the news release states.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The date and time of death, as well as the cause of death and identification, will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner,” the news release states.

    I am not sure if this is related but I called 911 on the 17th at 8pm to report gunshots. It went on for half an hour. No one responded though I called two times. I live on Ave X In Llano. I heard the shot coming from the East. I also saw some lights from possibly a car.
