Free security and safety presentation for business owners Tuesday

PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale’s neighborhood services department, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, will hold a free security and safety presentation for business owners and employees this Tuesday, Feb. 23.

The event will start at 8 a.m. in the Palmdale City Council Chamber, located 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B, in Palmdale.

Topics will include:

  • How to address incidents of vandalism, panhandling and loitering;
  • Burglary and robbery prevention;
  • How to identify counterfeit currency, credit cards and checks; and
  • An overview of the Business Watch program, which is a free service offered to all businesses in the city of Palmdale.

“If you are unable to attend this event, presentations are available for businesses at a location and time that is convenient for you,” stated Crime Prevention Officer Kery German.

    Will there be another presentation or an ongoing meeting of these security and safety tips? I’m bummed I missed this one and would like to attend the next.
