Four gang members arrested in morning raid

by The AV Times Staff • October 22, 2014

LANCASTER – Four known gang members were arrested Wednesday morning when authorities simultaneously executed search warrants at a dozen Lancaster locations.

The operation was conducted around 5 a.m. by detectives with the Lancaster Operation Safe Streets gang unit and was “related to ongoing investigations of identified gang members,” according to Lancaster Community Relations deputy Miguel Ruiz.

“Several items of evidence were recovered after the 12-location search warrant was concluded,” Ruiz stated.

Arrested during the operation were:

  • Alejandro Garcia de Alba, 21, arrested on the 400 block of East Avenue J-12.
  • Frank Young, 27, arrested on the 44100 block of Division Street.
  • Juan Ceja, 25, arrested on the 43700 block of Ponderosa Street.
  • Abiel Ordaz, 19, arrested on the 44700 block of Division Street.

The suspects were transported to the Lancaster Station Jail and are expected to face various charges, including failure to register as a gang member, possession of marijuana for sales and parole/probation violations, according to Ruiz.

The investigations are ongoing.

We’re still arresting people for possession of marijuana? What an azz-backward country the U.S. Is and the Antelope Valley leads the way. War on drugs is the make work gravy train for for law enforcement pigs to feed at the trough.

    Four out of twelve arrested…
One, for failing to register as a gang member. Oh, no!!
One, for having metal (brass?) knuckles. I’m sure the cop found those after, tossing the house apart. Who knows if they even belonged to this guy?
One, for possession of marijuana, for sales? How much marijuana?
One, for being under the influence of a controlled substance? How did they know that , when they just “showed -up” at this guy’s house, early in the am?

I’m wondering how much on-going investigation it took to bust these hard-core criminals?!
And, where’s the other eight that are being investigated? How’d you lose track of them?
    Seriously?

Why can’t “people” see what’s really going on when it’s happening right in front of them? As, I said before, the judicial system is designed to keep “you” down! “They” arrest a man, who is nearly off probation because he failed to put in a change of address! Apparently, he wasn’t hiding, and he wasn’t too hard to find. But, they bust him, take him to court, give him 60 days and THREE more years of probation! It’s ridiculous!! However, it’s guaranteed revenue for the city/state!

    @whatever

You have made my point. If a person claim some type of mental health issue while in CDC custody, that person will get Disability SSI money, no matter of the conviction( drugs/ robbery/ sales). Thank you, I know I am an IDIOT for working instead of getting on the SSI and living the gangster life.

Well you sure know something about these four gangsters, Theresa. Just one is no longer in the gang? He must have reformed himself and moved out of the area and started a fresh life? Left that Gangster life behind right? I ask questions of those who work the system (the dirty inside secrets) that we the working stiff are paying for (taxpayers). You can gleam a lot from books (The Black Hand/ Underboss: Sammy the Bull Gravano’s Story of Life in the Mafia) and other sources. Of course anyone can read between the lines on all these sources.

IF you knew the facts of the case you wouldn’t be saying “he’s no longer Gang affiliated.” Funny thing is, they stop banging just prior to the battering ram hitting the door! Funny how that happens…but they were really getting their bang on just months ago when the crime occurred which is why they’re being arrested in the first place. Funny how family members tend to claim there is no Gang affiliation and their loved one wasn’t involved, yet there’s countless documented accounts of his/her affiliation and evidence to their involvement. Guess they have to be laid before the alter before you believe they’re thugs! Yeah, you’re really helping them change their lives by denying their affiliation. At least you can visit them in jail, while the victim’s family can only visit their loved ones gravesite!

I know ONE of the “gang members”, personally. I know he made a terrible decision years ago and it cost him his freedom for a long time… I know that he has tried to stay out, and dreams of starting a fresh life. Our judicial/parole/probation system is designed to keep people like him down! I like to believe, that there are those, who really do want to change! I don’t know anything about the other three “cases”! I don’t condone gang affiliations! I’m saying, people with a past record are easy marks for fulfilling quotas.

      • haha lame excuse says

        October 26, 2014 at 1:12 am

Why do ppl always blame the system when they get caught up? Im sorry but its a choice ppl make to go in n out of jail.. its worded in fine print on white paper what u can n cant do while u are on probation/parole! I just recently got off probation n they system didnt skreq me over, why cause i made a choice to stop trying to cheat the system n actually do things the right way! That lame excuse is so out dated!

Wow, 4 people and a bust for marijuana possession. AV is such a little candy-azz town always trying to hype this supposed crime-wave that doesn’t exist in reality.

  9. CB says

With the extreme over-crowding in the prison system, why not institute firing squads? Start by eliminating ALL individuals with ANY gang affiliation…

  10. Theresa says

    October 23, 2014 at 6:34 pm

I really have to laugh at this article! A specialized gang unit goes to the homes of four “known” gang members in the early morning and brings them in, for (most likely) fabricated, or, out-dated information. If, there has been an on-going investigation, these cops would definitely KNOW that at least one of these men is no longer affiliated with a gang. However, this is one of the easiest ways to add some revenue to our heavily dependent judicial economy. Once, you’ve been in this system it’s so hard to get out of it! “They” just want to keep you down…It’s called “control”. Instead of dragging people out of their beds, why don’t you go out into the streets and catch some criminals!

Yep, 4 are arrested but that is NOT the end of the story. 4 Gangsters with 4 Gangster families who have raised them to their glory & fame. 4 more foot soldiers for the prison Gangs” if” sentenced to state prison or county jail under the AB109 guide lines. 4 more who will be serviced by CDC and granted SSI for some type of mental disability during their time out at CDC. Yep, four more with many more to come.

Really? You will NOT get SSI for hearing voices, bipolar depression or Schizophrenia. Even if you can state that you have drug charges and are self-medicating because of your mental health issue. If you apply for money & food stamps (EBT card) from DPPS (the county) with prior drug charges I heard you will not qualify.
