I understand that this article does not go into the details of the condition of the patient beyond being unconscious, and I do understand that AVH is a certified trauma center (kudos to them on that), but PRMC ain’t no slouches on emergency medical treatment either.

As we all know, when dealing with emergency medicine, time is of the essence. So, while admitting a lack of other information, I can not imagine why a patient would be kept from the significant advantage of PRMC’s ER being literally yards away to drive the critical 20 minutes to AVH where he died.

I’s gots some questions on this one…

Everyone I guess does not know Pal.dale hospital is not a Trama hospital and due to cutbacks at AV hospital Palmdale ha s been over run with patients from AV hospital but everyone does not realize AV hospital is much more equiped to deal with patients of all ages, Palmdale is not a Pediatric Hisputal although they do treat them in Paldale…Either way both hospitals are always packed with patients..Net

My condolences to his family. Lancaster is a trauma center, that’s why they’d take him there. Palmdale is not equipped for everything. But I pray to the Lord I never have to be in either.

Idon’t understand why the transfer? He probably went there because he felt he needed medical attention.isn’t that what a hospital is for? I guess I’m fortunate I live in Lancaster, hope I never get sick in Palmdale.

Why would he be transported to AVH if he was found at PRMC? Couldn’t the folks at PRMC treat him? … Oh, never mind… they probably didn’t think he had insurance. -_-
