LANCASTER – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a man found unconscious in a hospital parking lot this past weekend.
The unidentified man was discovered around 7:35 Saturday, Oct. 4, in the parking lot of Palmdale Regional Medical Center at 38600 Medical Center Drive, Sheriff’s officials said in a statement.
The man was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
There is no additional information available at this time.

UPDATED 10/7/14: PATIENT STILL ALIVE

A press release issued Monday from the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau (view it here) stated that the man was pronounced dead at 8:45 a.m., Monday, Oct. 6. After hearing from the victim’s granddaughter on Tuesday, The AV Times contacted LASD Homicide Lieutenant David Dolson, who said the victim was “still alive in extremely critical condition” as of 12:22 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7. No further information was available.
