Man shot to death in Lancaster, suspect sought

LANCASTER – A man was shot to death in Lancaster early Sunday morning, according to a press release by the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau. Read it below:

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult that occurred on the 47000 block of 30th Street East, Lancaster, on Sunday, August 10, 2014.

LASD Homicide detectives have learned that at approximately 1:45 a.m., deputies from Lancaster Sheriff’s Station responded to the location regarding a “shots fired” call.

When deputies arrived, they discovered the victim, a male Hispanic adult, lying on the driveway of the residence, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no suspect(s) information at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available.

UPDATED 8/12/14: The deceased has been identified at 23-year-old Abraham Trejo of Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

    What a night. There was also about 15 shots fired last night somewhere in the neighborhoods around Ave J in between Sierra Highway and 10th West about 11:58 last night.
