Why don’t the cities just cut the cr^p and have the police staff these checkpoints with those hand-held Point-of-Sale Debit card machines that waiters use? They can even set them up to accept EBT-think of the revenue possibilities!

Sounds like these have become checkpoints for every violation except DUI’s. Beware of the police state.

      Seriously. . .
How about people aren’t necessarily dumb enough to drive intoxicated but are dumb enough think they’ll not get caught on a suspended license. Obviously they had their license revoked for a reason, more power to law enforcement for letting those people know they aren’t above the law. Oh, and DUI doesn’t just mean alcohol. if you’ll look and actually read, 3 were arrested on Saturday and 14 were given FSTs on Friday. Your statement is now invalid.

You mean they shouldn’t think they are above the law like the drunk-driving drink pounding off-duty cops that can be located at various bars in the Antelope Valley on a regular basis? Like those guys? DUI’s are only for the proles and Joe Citizen.

6 vehicles released per checkpoint release procedures- meaning illegals with no drivers license. cant tow or store vehicles for unlicensed illegals. Thanks Obama! oh and the advocate that goes to check points in Palmdale to make sure it doesn’t happen. wonder if she would protect legal license citizens! UGH

Hillbilly town. This is the only way they have to pull in revenue. Even aerospace is leaving this ghost-town. Maybe they can build another prison. The entire Los Angeles City proper doesn’t even have this many checkpoints on one weekend.

Did any drivers score a hat-trick and get to go through all 3 checkpoints in one night?
