Homicide detectives investigating infant’s death

LANCASTER – Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a four-month-old girl, who died in Lancaster this morning, authorities said.

Investigators responded to Antelope Valley Hospital between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., according to a Sheriff’s Department press release.

It is undetermined at this time whether there is any criminal conduct relating to the infant’s death, the press release states.

No further information was being released as of 8 p.m. Saturday night.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. To provide information anonymously, call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).

    Any update. How did the baby die? How did the baby end up at the hospital?
    Where are the parents?

      Sorry Tiffany, there is no new information to report. The matter is still being investigated, we’re told. We’ll update the story as soon as we have more information.
