PALMDALE – The AERO Institute in Palmdale is hosting the Antelope Valley Winter 2013 Rubik’s Cube Competition this Saturday (Jan. 5), from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The competition will be held at the Aero Institute, located at 38256 Sierra Highway in Palmdale. View venue information here.
Cubers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate.
Competitions will be held for the following puzzles:
- The Rubik’s cube (which is also referred to as the 3X3)
- The 2X2, 4X4, 5X5, 6X6 and 7X7 puzzles (which are variations of the original Rubik’s Cube design)
The 3X3 event will begin at 12:45 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded in each event for the fastest competitors.
Competitors pay a small fee and spectators are free.

The competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition. Therefore, all competitors should be familiar with the WCA regulations. If you are new to competing, you may want to look at CubingUSA’s Competitor Tutorial.

Oh, I should totally enter this.. I used to be the fasted person around that could disassemble a mixed up cube and reassemble it with all the colors correct. Never understood why people subject themselves to turning and twisting it when my solution is much faster..
Too bad my technique is against WCA regulations..
