Its really not about which party controls the country, it’s more about coming together and benefitting all americans, not just the pre-privileged ones. And most of you conservatives hold strong religous views, so i leave you with this? would Jesus be a capitalist? Favor the wealthy? Deny you health care or miracles because of a pre-exisiting condition? I’m sure you know the answer…

        • Brain scans show conservative brains have a larger amygdala than liberal brains. The amygdala is where fear is processed by the brain.

          That is why they always play the ‘fear card’ (terrorism, taxes, sex, foreigners, President Obama) yet have learned to project it onto Democrats. They want to mess with Social security but tell Americans that Democrats are trying to scare old people when it’s pointed out what the Rs are doing.

            The Fear Card has been used many times throughout our history, and was recently utilized via FOX News with promoting Glen Beck as a ‘grass-roots’ conservative. Actuality though, all he was, was rehashing old fears once used after WWI, updating it to this century with charts of current ‘anarchists’ (all Liberals) and using Woodrow Wilson as the center-father-figure of evil who was introducing Hegelian bacillus into the American water supply and turning everyone into a Progressive zombie-slave state.

            Fear causes people to act irrationally and make rash decisions. Works every time…at least on some.

  9. Ok William, here is a simple exercise in reason and deduction. Enlighten me with how the jobs report isnt fuzzy math. Read the following article and try to discredit it. By the way I read the jobs report and the info in this article matches up. Lets drop all the nonsense and actually debate this issue. If you cant do that I think it makes it blatantly obvious that you are a partisan hack. You wrongly assume I am a in love with Romney. My opinion hasnt changed, Obama has failed the American people and doesnt deserve a second term. So Willie whats your thoughts?

    • I won’t waste my time debating you because you are like Romney – facts don’t matter, as he showed in the debate. You are in your own altered reality just like Tina Marie who can’t grasp that there is VOTER SUPPRESSION going on which you have disputed previously.

      If you can’t get that, then there is no use debating you on anything not even the time of day because you won’t accept the Naval Observatory’s time because Barack ‘cooked the books’. N’est-ce pas????

      You may have heard all the right wingers and Fox disputing the latest 7.8% unemployment report and accusing the White House of whatever. That’s how you think and it was obvious from your first replies to me. So, no deal with you.

      • William, do the math.

        To get from 8.1% to 7.85 unemployment that equates to 865,000 individuals going from unemployed to employed.

        By the Obama Administration’s own claims, 114,000 new jobs were added and an additional 84,000 jobs they forgot to count during the summer (allegedly) were added to the totals for a grand total of 198,000 new jobs.

        Last I checked 865,000 is about 667,000 more than 198,000.

        So where did those 667,000 individuals go if they did not get a job, but are no longer counted as unemployed?

        The answer is, they are still unemployed, just no longer officially counted so that the unemployment number can officially be claimed to be under 8%.

        The unemployment rate in this country, if it were counted the way it always had been prior to Obama taking office, is over 11%.

        That is unacceptable and totally on the head of Barack H. Obama.

Go to any non-partisan fact checking website and see just how ‘true’ Romney’s claims were. you may be astonished! even Faux News reports Romney as being untruthful, and thats big for them. but then of course you’ll come up with the excuse that if you have faith, his lies were truth, and then you will be letting your above said ‘faith’ stupify you. do your research and see what the real bummer is, and it ain;t the O.   15. Romney won the debate because he prosecuted Obama on his amateurish and ill-advised policies, while being Presidential and professional. Obama was unable to defend his failed policies, and was sheepish and impotent as a result. Of course the Left will make every excuse in the book to spin this. However, we the people saw the REAL Obama….a puppet that’s totally lost without his Teleprompter.

        As far as the debates went, romney did much better than I expected. Falling on his face was what I expected, so the bar wasn’t set real high.
        Of course, he reinvented himself again. After last night, one could almost call him a moderate. Seems all the things he’s been saying he’s against, he’s not so against anymore. Interesting.
        Off to the senior expo, but I’ll list his lies for you in the next day or two. Unless my fellow Dems get to it before me.

        • There aren’t more registered Democrat voters in the AV, they are less when you count the rural areas. I presume you read the same AV Press article I did too about 3 days ago. Last time I checked the rural areas of the AV were still part of the AV. either youre willfully ignoring that or your reading comprehension is awful? besides that many of the “registered Democrats” in the AV arent liberals dont always vote Democrat.

          • Yes, Theodore it’s amazing that Tina Marie doesn’t believe that there might be more than 2 Democrats who post on this board, and that there are more registered Democrats in the Valley than Republicans. Since the GOP has about a 30% representation in the State, maybe she thinks all the GOP’s live here, which could be a possibility. Yes, some Liberals vote both ways – as they vote for the best candidate, not just along party lines. But the GOP seems to be running out of viable candidates, so even that will change in the future.

            As for assuming all information is unbiased and truthful in the VPress, well that is also what it is – an assumption.
