PALMDALE – There are just a few spots left for interested vendors to participate in the City of Palmdale’s annual Thursday Night on the Square events.
Food and farmers market vendors, craft and commercial vendors, service providers and non-profit groups may download applications by visiting www.cityofpalmdale.org/departments/parks/tnots.
Vendors are encouraged to participate in this award-winning event that brings families and businesses together.
Each event will feature live entertainment for adults and children, themed children’s activities, creative arts and crafts and delicious food in an open-air market. This year, TNOTS will be celebrating the City of Palmdale’s 50th Anniversary as an incorporated city.
For additional information, call the parks and recreation department, Monday through Thursday, at 661-267-5611.

@ Tina Marie: Really? What didn’t you like about it? What did you find boring? What would you add/subtract from it? Would love some feedback. Thx.
Tina Marie says
well for one thing…parking is awful and there is too many people and booths crammed into that little park. Too many people there pushing political & religious issues in your face makes it hard to enjoy it.

Hi Tina Marie:
Thank you for the input. No doubt, the event has grown in popularity and it is packed. There is now additional parking available in the Legacy Commons parking lot, located just a half block east of the park. There are all sorts of groups with booths there, but they are not allowed to walk around and hand out literature; if a person wants information or literature, they need to go to the booth.
I hope you’ll give TNOTS another try this summer.

Hi Mr. Mlynar,
Thank you for graciously welcoming feedback. Is there a way to announce the bands for TNOTS beforehand? I would like that to be the deciding factor in me coming out. Also, I too would like to see less political or service organizations as vendors. I would rather see more local mom and pop shops selling wares, similar to the Farmers Market on Lancaster Blvd. You know, those vendors that can’t afford an actual store, but have really nice unique things to sell. Thank you for listening.

S. Parker:
We will be announcing the bands and themes on Wednesday, June 20 at 10 am at Poncitlan Square. Hopefully, it will be covered by the local media, including right here on the Antelope Valley Times Web site. The information will also be available starting June 20 at http://www.cityofpalmdale.org.
I haven’t seen the vendor list for this year, but I can tell you that mom and pop stores are more than welcome to apply for a spot. With thousands of people attending each week, I think it is a good place to get exposure and offer items for sale.

Went one time a couple years back and it was boring!

I just love it!
