Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris says:

by The AV Times Staff • September 13, 2011

R. Rex Parris“Whether you know it or not, there are more people of color in city government of Lancaster today than in any time in history. And so this perception that people of color are not welcomed or not invited to take part in the leadership is simply wrong. It’s being perpetuated by people who have their own agenda or who cannot count. It can only be one of the two.”

King Rat, er Parris (sorry ’bout that) hires token minorities in his law practice for obvious reasons.

As for the minorities who work for the city–they came aboard via civil service type test. The city has to hire from a list based on scores. So those minorities aren’t token but were hired by merit.

But like a previous writer stated, King Rat, er Rex (sorry ’bout that. My bad) will take full credit and will use it in his re-election bid.

Remember: ANY person of a different ethnicity on staff or otherwise working within the city, regardless of when they joined the city, will be counted as personally hired by the great king rat parris… Just like how he personally went out and lowered the crime rate – even before he became king, er, mayor.

Just ask his holy rexness and he’ll tell you how it’s all him that did everything for you!

How much longer before we see this criminal in federal custody doing the perp walk, USDOJ?

Matt… That would be 2 or 3 out of 70 or so positions on various commissions. Maybe Rex is also counting Henry. I don’t believe anything he says after someone who spoke last night at the meeting was assaulted outside the chambers by city staff.

The Deputy Mayor is of Chinese origin (can’t remember her name at the moment) and there is a member of the Planning Commission who is of Indian origin (Raj Mali). Those two come to mind right now.

Are these people of color the Mayor speaks of in a position of power or are the simply employees?
