LANCASTER – Family entertainment, unique shopping, and a great learning experience are what attendees can expect at a Gem and Mineral Show happening this weekend in Lancaster.
Presented by the Antelope Valley Gem and Mineral Club, the annual show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 6, and Sunday, May 7, at the Antelope Valley Fair and Event Center, located at 2551 West Avenue H. The event will include free admission and free parking.

Around 30 vendors will be offering jewelry, beads, rocks, jewelry making supplies, gems, minerals & fossils. There will be a silent auction and a raffle with dozens of prizes. Children’s activities will include a scavenger hunt and a touch table focusing on earth sciences. There also will be demonstrations in lapidary and jewelry making techniques.
