LANCASTER – Lancaster West Rotary Club is hosting its 39th annual dinner auction on Saturday, March 5.

Themed “Denim and Diamonds,” the event kicks off at 5 p.m. at the Hellenic Center, located at 43404 30th Street West in Lancaster.

The silent auction will feature a variety of items, including a Dodgers game pack, Chicago Bulls memorabilia, gift baskets from local businesses, a selection of wines and more. Tickets for this event are $100 per person and can be purchased by calling 661-361-0674.

Proceeds will benefit the club’s Avenues of Service Committee, which provides charitable support.

“It’s an honor to be a part of a great organization that brings our community leaders together to continue making a positive change in our valley and the world,“ stated Lancaster West Rotary Auction Chair and President-Elect Jane Frye. “Our purpose is to serve our community in hopes of creating a better tomorrow for our local families.”

Last year the club raised nearly $65,000. The donations received supported various organizations in the valley, including the Veteran’s Home, Trend Neighborhood Impact, Bark at the Park, ACME Acting Company, Painted Turtle, AV YMCA, AV Boys & Girls Club, AV College Mens’ Baseball, AV Community Concerts, Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Parades, Lancaster Chamber of Commerce YEA Program, AV Rural Museum, Flight Test Historical Foundation, Returning National Guard Meal Service, Hope Chapel Senior Dinner, Neighborhood Impact, and local school districts.

“Every year we receive countless requests from organizations seeking funding,” stated Westside Union School District Superintendent and Rotary Member Regina Rossall. “Thanks to our annual fundraisers we have been able to continue providing that much needed support, especially for our youth programs.”
