PALMDALE – Two burglars were captured Tuesday after they tried to steal large appliances out of a vacant Palmdale home.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at 40034 Denham Drive, according to authorities.

Two Hispanic males broke into the home and were spotted by an alert neighbor as they moved a stove/oven unit from the home and into their waiting pickup truck.

“The informant was able to follow them and get a description of the vehicle,” said Palmdale Station Watch Deputy Ames.

The informant followed the truck, but lost the suspects in a nearby open field.

As they were fleeing, the thieves dumped the stolen appliances from their truck, Ames said.

The men drove onto the 14 Freeway and were nabbed by waiting deputies.

“They were stopped, detained and arrested,” Ames said.

The men were directed off the 14 Freeway near Palmdale Blvd. and arrested at a nearby gas station around 11:15 a.m.

The suspects’ names were not immediately available Tuesday afternoon. Ames said the men will be charged with burglary.

The appliances were recovered at another vacant home in the 1800 block of Heritage Lane.

Notice how the trolls come in to EVERY crime related story and try to link it to welfare, Section 8, foodstamps, etc.?

Or they pant for the eye-in-sky, waiting for the chance to catch their neighbors getting funky!

Yep that’s bcuz its probably true. At least 1 of the 4, or etc. you mentioned, will fit the profile of the offender or someone in their home. How bout you work on those statistics and share the results?

Hey, talk to your hero, Parris. He’s the one suppressing those statistics. The only reason that I know about them is that I happened to be at a council meeting when they were first presented.

In the meantime, constantly claiming that EVERY crime is related to a social program is just plain stupid.

Actually my hero is Ledford, and I stand behind my statement until someone can prove different!

Ledford IS the superior choice, between the two. We can at least agree upon that much.

As for your insistence that EVERY crime is caused by public assistance programs… Well, clearly that is just wrong on basic statistical probability and, therefore, the burden of proof on that is on you, mi amigo.

Never said it is “caused” by public assistance programs….another Bone Head…read it again.

            Riiight… Then clarify yourself, “Quigley.”

You have stated, in reply to an absolute of EVERY crime, that, “At least 1 of the 4, or etc. you mentioned, will fit the profile of the offender or someone in their home.” You have also stated that you, “stand behind [your] statement..”

I point out that your statement can not be statistically accurate and you call ME the bonehead? Learn to stop speaking in politically-based absolutes and go do your own research.

So I should assume you are correct because you
“were at the council meeting where Parris supressed the statistics.” If anyone should have pursued this it is you as you are the one needing proof. I on the other hand will comment on this great site my beliefs, and don’t need justification…

So, Quigley, the omniscient, has made his mind up that all crime in the AV is due to social welfare programs and has no need to justify such opinions as he has deemed them facts – the real facts will be summarily ignored as they do not fit in with what Quigley has decreed. Typically pathetic far right wing (il)logic.

BTW: If Parris had been in office when the results were announced, they probably would not have been announced at all. You forget, like in so many other convenient instances, that there are those who have been here a long time besides yourself.

EXACTLY! It is called freedom of speech and the AV Times allows all to express their opinions. It does not mean we will all agree….isn’t that why we keep comin back??

Did anyone catch the fact that these two bums are from out of town?

Yeah, From out of town with that truck they has to be hitting multiple houses each day just to pay for the gas! What were they getting $150-$200 a piece if they are lucky? That would cover a round trip in that truck! I know they were linked to 11 burglaries so far but they had to hit 3 a day just to make it worth the trouble! Or they may have been too dumb to figure that out!

Another case where caring, alert neighbors make the difference between another crime report and a good apprehension of the criminals.

Kudos to that neighbor and the LASD for getting these guys off the street and into a cell.
