Man killed in crash on Antelope Valley Freeway in Lancaster area

LANCASTER – A motorist was killed Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in the Lancaster area, authorities said.

The man died at the scene of the crash, which was reported around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, on the southbound 14 Freeway near Avenue G, according to the California Highway Patrol. The motorist was not immediately identified.

The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately available.

According to the CHP, one southbound lane was blocked in the area while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash, but the lane was reopened by early afternoon.
