LANCASTER – American R&B and soul band Kool & the Gang has been added to this year’s Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival Concert Series, organizers announced. The iconic funk band will take the Grandstand Arena stage on Saturday, Sept. 23, Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
Attendees can look forward to the band’s classic hits, such as “Get Down on it”, “Summer Madness”, “Cherish”, “Celebrate” and more. Alternative hip-hop group Digital Underground will be the opening act. Tickets range in price from $30 to $75 and can be purchased online at: https://avfair.com/fair/
Rounding out the 2023 Palmdale Auto Mall Grandstand Concert Series will be:

- Calibre 50 & La Adictiva Banda on Sunday, Sept. 24

- STYX on Tuesday, Sept. 26
The 2023 Antelope Valley Fair & Alfalfa Festival, themed “A Barn Good Time,” starts Sept. 22 and runs through Oct. 1.
