July 4 Fireworks Extravaganza returns to Lancaster

LANCASTER – The city of Lancaster will host a 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, at the AV Fair & Event Center, located at 2551 West Avenue H in Lancaster.

The event will also feature food vendors and a motocross show presented by the 406FMX Freestyle Motocross Team.

“Our 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza is one of my favorite Lancaster traditions,” Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris said in a news release. “Our city embodies diversity, innovation, and community spirit—some of the best aspects of this country that I look forward to celebrating alongside our community with an awe-inspiring fireworks show.”

Seating outside the Grandstand Arena is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are advised to bring their own chairs and/or blankets for free non-grandstand seating on the lawn. Attendees should note that while this seating offers a great view of the firework extravaganza, it does not provide access to the motocross show. Grandstand Arena seating for both the 406FMX Freestyle Motocross Show and Fireworks Extravaganza requires a paid admission ticket.

Parking will be provided at the AV Fair & Event Center for $10. Outside alcohol and pets are prohibited within the event premises.

    Palmdale residents have been royally screwed over since all this kumbaya stuff has been happening. $7.6 million dollars from Palmdale have been directed to Lancaster with no benefit for Palmdale. This is what happens when you have a city council that is bought and paid for by the Lancaster power brokers. Time for Palmdale to wake up.

    I spit my beer out of my mouth when Marv started his we are on Antelope Valley crap and trotted out his boy Austin as proof. It’s bad enough that Marv, Rex and the rest of the good old boys have ruined Lancaster. Why do they have to drag Palmdale down with them? Thankfully I’ll be outta here a year. It can’t get her soon enough.

    The law enforcement threats against those who use illegal fireworks was once again a complete joke. The illegal firework are more entertaining than the shows put on by the cities.

      The law enforcement threats are always a joke, because the amount of the fine doesn’t matter when there is no way to catch anyone. The cops seeing a firework go off in the sky doesn’t tell them the first thing about who fired it off.
