PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale is hosting an Illegal Dumping Action Plan update meeting on Thursday, March 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Legacy Commons auditorium, located at 930 East Avenue Q-9.
Local residents, businesses and groups are invited to come to the meeting to share ideas and find collaborative solutions to help curb and prevent illegal dumping in the community.
“Combatting illegal dumping remains a priority for this council,” said Palmdale Mayor Laura Bettencourt. “We look forward to connecting with our residents to show a united community working against this problem that impacts our overall quality of life.”
“We continue to explore new approaches and ideas from engaged residents, businesses, and organizations in the fight to curb illegal dumping and make our city even more beautiful,” Bettencourt added.
In 2021, the city of Palmdale released its Illegal Dumping Action Plan. Residents can view the document at https://www.cityofpalmdaleca.gov/1168/Illegal-Dumping-Action-Plan.

Part of the problem is waste management monopoly in Lancaster and Palmdale, your elected local government allowed that to happen. So when you complain, simple complain to yourself while you are at for allowing waste management to have a monopoly out here. I have never lived somewhere with such high trash fees or been forced to do business with a private corporation. I don’t produce much trash, not even enough to justify paying waste management, but the city says I have to have trash services from waste management. Wasted management.

Pay Attention Lancaster!
Since you haven’t even begun to address your snowballing trash problem blowing across the AV..
Now you’ll get the regular Palmdale dumpers visiting your side of the AV now too.
Fun times coming..

THE BUREAUCRAT’S FAVORITE TRICK
– PUBLIC MEETINGS –
THE PUBLIC MEETINGS ARE HELD WHEN THINGS BOIL OVER…
AT THE FIRST PUBLIC MEETING THE BUREAUCRATS GET TO PLAY DUMB BUT EVER SO ATTENTIVE TO WHATEVER PROBLEM HAS PISSED OFF PEOPLE ENOUGH TO GO TO SUCH A MEETING…
THE BUREAUCRATS THEN PROMISE TO LOOK ITO THINGS AND GET BACK TO EVERYONE WITH A PLAN AT THE NEXT PUBLIC MEETING…
***
THE NEXT SUCH PUBLIC MEETING IS USUALLY A MONTH AWAY TO GIVE THE BUREAUCRATS TIME TO FIGURE THINGS OUT AND PREPARE A RESPONSE, THEY SAY…
***
THE SECOND MEETING IS POORLY ATTENDED BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE NO LONGER ANGRY AND UPSET EXPECTING THE BUREAUCRATS TO HAVE SEEN HOW UPSET EVERYONE REALLY WAS…
***
THIS FAILED SECOND PUBLIC MEETING GIVES THE BUREAUCRATS THE EXCUSE OF “SEE..! NO ONE CARES ANYMORE..”
AND THEN THEY CAN GO BACK TO DOING NOTHING…
***
PROBLEM SOLVED..!

There are too many disgusting people sucking up government support, not knowing how to live within their means and not learning how to dispose of trash properly. I see it every day with my trashy ghetto neighbors always trashing their front yard and letting their mess blow all over the neighbor’s yards and mine. No daddy’s around to shape them yet many children keep farming out like chicken eggs… Dark eggs. Zero accountability as it gets worse, and it’s being perpetuated by us taxpayers that are being forced to pay more and more while deadbeat daddies are on the next pointless mission to be the next hip hop sensation. When does it end?

I don’t believe there is a solution and as long as dump fees and fuel is so expensive. I feel illegal dumping will only continue to get worse.
The city should be held accountable for creating circumstances that promote residence to illegally dumping outside of city limits.
I predict illegal dumping to get much worse July 1 when garbage will no longer be picked up from homes on dirt roads were home owners will be required to treat dirt road for dust prevention prior to having garbage trucks on the dirt road. There will be lots of trash bins where the dirt roads meet the pavement making it very easy for people to just dump at these locations.
It’s going to get worse. Good luck.

Recommendation
Place Designated Areas Dumping Unwanted Because Hey The HOMELESS POPULATION IS ON THE RISE & NO PLACE FOR THE TRASH..
ALSO FOR THE PEOPLE WHO NEED GET RID OF THE EXTRA THAT CAN’T AFFORD WM Pricing or Even Other Trash Companies In THE way The Economy Is Let’s Face It Costs So MUCH Just To Drive To A Facility That Accepts Trash Than Having To Pay $100’s Just To Dump Legally & The Folks That Get Paid Do House Cleanouts Of Newly Displaced Citizens That Aren’t Allowed Their Belongings Get TO Collect And Contribute To The Lovely Illegal Dumping Process…
I Wonder Why People Are Illegally Dumping..
