PALMDALE (CNS) – Authorities have identified the motorcycle rider who died in a crash in Palmdale Saturday afternoon.
He was 69-year-old Gordon Moore of Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The fatal collision happened around 4:08 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, on Bouquet Canyon Road north of Mile Post Marker 2.77, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
Moore was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Bouquet Canyon Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, careened across the southbound lane of Bouquet Canyon Road, and crashed into the mountain side west of the roadway, the CHP report states. Moore sustained fatal injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The involvement of alcohol and/or drugs… is still under investigation,” the CHP report states.
