Teen killed in Palmdale shooting

PALMDALE – A teenager was fatally shot in Palmdale Wednesday night, authorities said.

Deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 18, to a shots fired call in the 38600 block of 11th Street East and found the victim in a driveway suffering from gunshot wounds, Sgt. Gerardo Magos told City News Service.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name has not yet been released pending next of kin notification, but the victim was a male in his teens, according to Sarah Ardalani of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. No further information on the incident was immediately.
