Free activities at Marie Kerr, Domenic Massari parks

PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale has announced its schedule of free family-friendly winter programs at the Marie Kerr Park Community Building, located at 39700 30th St., and the Domenic Massari Park Community Building, located at 37716 55th St. East.

— From 3 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, there will be music, traditional recreational activities, family board games, and themed crafts, while supplies last.

— On Thursday, Jan. 19, from 4 to 6 p.m., both parks will celebrate National Popcorn Day with free popcorn crafts, popcorn history, and a sweet and savory popcorn bar.

— On Saturday, Jan. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m., the city of Palmdale will partner with the Antelope Valley Gem and Mineral Club to host an event at the Marie Kerr Park Community Building, where attendees can learn and gems and minerals and enjoy free activities, including bracelet art. — On Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be rock art and Valentine’s Day craft at both parks. Additionally, Domenic Massari Park will host special guests from AV Gem and Mineral Club at the pavilion, where free educational activities and bracelet crafts will be available.
