PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale is accepting applications for Planning Commissioner positions in all Districts. Applicants must reside in District 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 and have the ability and willingness to attend the regular meeting of the Planning Commission, which is held on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Palmdale City Council Chamber, located at 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B.
Planning Commissioners receive a stipend of $100 per meeting, with a maximum of $200/month. Applicants are encouraged to include a resume with the application submission.
As part of the final selection process, applicants will be required to pass a Livescan fingerprint submission via the California Department of Justice. If appointed, a Statement of Economic Interests Form 700 will be required to be completed within 30 days of appointment. Interested individuals may apply online at www.cityofpalmdale.org/PlanningCommission. A hard copy of the completed application may also be e-mailed to cityclerkdepartment@cityofpalmdale.org, hand delivered, or mailed (postmarked by the deadline) directly to the Office of the City Clerk, 38300 Sierra Hwy., Ste. C, by Tuesday, Jan. 31, before the 6 p.m. deadline.
