PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library has announced its schedule for weekly in-person winter Storytime sessions that will run from Jan. 17 through March 8, 2023. Storytime sessions will take place in the Chimbole Cultural Center Lilac Room, located at 38350 Sierra Highway, across from the library’s entrance.

  • Bilingual Storytime will be on Tuesdays, from 10-10:30 a.m.
  • Toddler Storytime will be on Wednesdays, from 9:30 to 10 a.m.
  • Preschool Storytime will be on Wednesdays, from 10:30 to 11 am.

To guarantee spots, attendees are encouraged to register their entire party in advance on the library’s Eventbrite page at https://palmdalecitylibrary.eventbrite.com. Online registration is now open for each date and time of the winter Storytime sessions.

“We are excited to bring back Storytimes at Palmdale City Library after a brief hiatus,” said Youth Services Librarian Elise Escamilla. “We invite returning Storytime veterans and new faces to join us for interactive reading, rhymes, music, and movement that encourage early literacy skills in your toddlers and preschoolers.”

The Palmdale City Library is open Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, from 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, call the Palmdale City Library at 661-267-5600 or TDD 661-267-5167 or visit www.cityofpalmdale.org/library.
