Residents invited to help plan mural for Palmdale Transportation Center

by The AV Times Staff • December 19, 2022 Leave a Comment

PALMDALE – Local residents are invited to give input on the design of a public art mural scheduled for the Palmdale Transportation Center in April 2023.

The mural will depict issues surrounding waste reduction and illegal dumping, and organizers are looking to residents for help in selecting the theme.

Those who wish to participate are encouraged to take a short online survey at: https://cityofpalmdale.org/173/Innovation-and-Environmental.

The city of Palmdale will select a local artist to craft all ideas into a single recycling-themed mural. The project is funded through the city’s solid waste program to bring attention to the impact of excess waste on the environment and quality of life.

To track progress on the mural, visit: www.cityofpalmdale.org/InnovationEnvironmental or email envirotech@cityofpalmdale.org.
