Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger tweeted Tuesday that she tested positive for COVID-19.

“Feels like a cold, but each person’s experience is different,” Barger tweeted. “Time to walk the talk — I’m isolating, getting rest and keeping my loved ones at a distance. #StayHome #GetVaccinated #FlattenTheCurve”

Barger said she started to experience some of the virus’ symptoms during New Year’s Eve. She said like many Los Angeles County residents she struggled to find testing in the area but said out of “pure luck” she was able to get tested Sunday, leading to the COVID-19 diagnosis.

Today I tested positive for #COVID19. Feels like a cold, but each person’s experience is different. Time to walk the talk – I’m isolating, getting rest and keeping my loved ones at a distance. #StayHome #GetVaccinated #FlattenTheCurve pic.twitter.com/pCmSbnAzCA

I still don’t get this whole thing I guess I’m short on brains but she got the virus and is fully vaccinated?
So she probably wasn’t wearing a mask or being careful because she’s vaccinated and she will not die because she is vaccinated, right?
We have a large family of the adults half are vaccinated and half are not because of their choosing, we all got tested before the new year no one had the virus so we felt safe to gather, after new years we all got sick, half of the vaccinated and half of the unvaccinated tested positive for the virus. The some of the vaccinated got really sick, couldn’t even go to work for a week and the unvaccinated were sick from the virus but not nearly as sick as the vaccinated, Why?

Just because a person has antibodies to fight a virus, they can still spread it while their body fights it. Hence why it is important to take proper precautions and ensure others around you are doing the same. Obviously this was not done the first time since she is COVID positive.

Maybe once she recovers she will be more cautious about not getting infected again.
