Palmdale Regional Medical Center’s first baby of the 2022 New Year arrived at “The Birth Place” at 3:06 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1, the hospital announced.

This adorable little girl, Bellamie, weighed 6 lbs. 9ozs and was 20¾ inches long.

“We’ve been welcoming many new babies into the world here at The Birth Place since August,” said Richard Allen, Chief Executive Officer at Palmdale Regional. “Our New Year’s Day baby, Bellamie, certainly gives us a happy beginning to a new year that we are hopeful and optimistic will bring better health to us all. Happy New Year!”

Mom, Brittany, shared, “My delivery was great here. I delivered my first baby at another hospital, but everything here was above and beyond.”

The Birth Place is PRMC’s new 33,000-square-foot obstetrics and maternity unit. It features all private labor, delivery and recovery suites; two surgical suites; a skilled staff; and easy drop-off and parking. For more information, visit: https://www.palmdaleregional.com/services/maternity.
