5 ways to use a mini chaise lounge in your home

by Content Partner • December 2, 2021 Leave a Comment

Do you love the idea of a chaise lounge but don’t feel like you have the room for one? There are now mini chaise lounges that offer a comfortable place to relax without taking up much space. These smaller chaises are a much better solution for people who have smaller homes, or if you are designing a smaller room in the home. Here are some of the best ways to use a mini chaise lounge in your home.

Create a quiet reading spot

The great thing about a chaise lounge is that it works well in almost any room off by itself, which is the perfect description of a reading corner. Place the mini chaise lounge near a window, glass or French doors, or in another location with a standing floor lamp. You might also want to have a shelf or small accent table to hold a beverage or additional reading material. This reading corner idea will work in living rooms, family rooms, bedrooms, dens, libraries, and other recreational rooms.

Lounging for entertainment centers or rec rooms

Gaming chairs are made for long-term comfort, but they don’t necessarily match the rest of your décor. Instead of buying gaming chairs, beanbag chairs, or other game seating, place a mini chaise or two that can be easily moved around and stored as needed while still giving you comfortable seating for gaming or lounging in front of a movie.

Place on a small balcony or patio

A mini chaise can be placed on a small balcony or patio off of the main room in your home or the master bedroom. The chaise can be used to bask in the sun, read or listen to music alone, or just appreciate the peace and quiet you can get in such a situation. With more families spending more time at home, opportunities for these quiet moments are becoming fewer and farther between. A mini chaise placed in a small outdoor area gives you a means of peaceful escape.

Place in an unused alcove

If you have a small oddly shaped area that you don’t know what to do with, consider filling the space with a mini chaise. The chaise may not get much use in such an area, but it does add style and fill in the space in a delightful way. The chaise will be used more than you might think, either as a reading spot, a place to escape, or a place to wait for a ride or date.

Give yourself comfortable and stylish seating in the kitchen

Do you love to bake and cook? If you spend a lot of time in the kitchen, a mini chaise can be a great addition to the space. You can use the mini chaise to relax comfortably while you are waiting on the oven or taking a break between whipping up batches of baked goods. This is a much more comfortable option than sitting at the kitchen table, giving you a chance to catch up on some reading or just enjoy a private, quiet moment.
