LACSD deputy fatally shoots Robert Fuller’s half-brother in Kern County [updated]

ROSAMOND – A half-brother of Robert Fuller was shot to death by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday afternoon in Kern County, a Fuller family attorney confirmed.

The shooting occurred around 4:39 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, in the 3400 block of 15th Street West, about six blocks from Rosamond Boulevard, where deputies with a specialized unit were conducting “an investigation,” according to Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau were actively searching for a kidnap, spousal abuse, assault with a deadly weapon suspect,” Lt. Robert Westphal told reporters at the scene.

“During the surveillance, they spotted who they believed to be the suspect. They followed the suspect for awhile and attempted to do a traffic stop on the suspect. When the suspect stopped his vehicle, he opened the door and began shooting at the deputies and a deputy-involved shooting occurred,” Westphal said.

The suspect was struck several times in the upper body and pronounced dead at the scene, Westphal said.

A woman who was in the vehicle suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, Westphal said.

Robert Fuller’s family attorney, Jamon Hicks, released the following statement Wednesday evening: “This afternoon I had to notify the sisters of Robert Fuller that their half-brother Terron Jammal Boone was killed by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies in Kern County. At this time, until we receive all of the information, the family and their legal team [don’t] have any further comment on this incident. The family respectfully asks that their privacy be respected.”

Robert Fuller’s body was found with a rope around his neck around 3:40 a.m. June 10 in Poncitlan Square, across from Palmdale City Hall. Authorities initially said the death appeared to be a suicide, although an official cause of death has not been made.

On Monday, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva vowed to conduct a thorough investigation into Robert Fuller’s death — with cooperation from state and federal agencies.

Homicide Investigators have learned that Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau were searching for a kidnap domestic assault suspect. The investigation lead the Major Crime’s detectives to the 3400 block of 15th Street in the City of Rosamond. The Detectives observed and positively identified a male matching the suspect’s description in a vehicle. Detectives followed the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect opened the front passenger door of the vehicle and engaged the Deputies by firing multiple rounds at them with a handgun. At that time, an Officer involved shooting occurred during which the suspect was struck several times in the upper torso.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female driver was also struck by gunfire and transported to a local hospital where she was treated and released.
A seven-year-old girl was also in the vehicle and was uninjured.
A handgun was recovered at the scene.
No deputies were injured.”

  5. Robert Fuller was allegedly being investigated for molesting the girlfriends daughter. When this comes to light, the girlfriend leaves Fuller and begins staying with Terron Boone.

    When it is learned that Fuller hangs himself there is an altercation between the girlfriend and Boone resulting in him kidnapping her for a few days, threatening her with a firearm and stealing her cell phone.

    A warrant was issued for his arrest and multiple felonies. The sheriff’s department was able to ping her phone to locate them and that’s when the shooting occurred.

    There is only but one victim in this situation, the 7 year old girl who was allegedly molested and then in the vehicle when Boone opened fire on the deputies.

    • This 7 year old girl will need all the help good people can give her. Children always suffer when in a family that abuses.

      • Perhaps the family can spend that fraudulently gained near $250k from the GoFundMe and give it to the daughter but I’d guess most of that money has been spent already.

        • After reading more about this horrific incident, it angers me that the adults cared nothing about what this child endured in her 7 years on this earth. This is the ultimate betrayal of a child by adults.

          • Maybe someone with the ability to help this 7 year old girl can work something out just for her. The therapy she will need for years to come along with a loving, nurturing, environment will give her a chance to grow into a healthy young lady.

    • Another young, Black/African American man, Terron Jammal Boone (20’s), tragically lost his “Brother” (half-brother) Robert Fuller (also 20’s), found hanging in a Palmdale tree (suspected Lynching), within days AFTER being FOLLOWED by law enforcement … Terron had been seeking information about the death and hanging of his “Brother” and had QUESTIONed a female.

      In photographs of the deadly scene — a mostly ALL WHITE team of law enforcement Sheriff Officers are seen standing around after the killing in — of all places — Rosamond, California. Rosamond is a city in the County of Kern (a County historically known as the “Deep South of the West” — given its past history of public Lynchings and etc.).

      SO many questions, and few answers.

      Was Terron distraught over the lost of his brother, and NOT LIKING the initial suicide ruling, SOUGHT to find the Truth HIMSELF? Only to be followed and pressured by SOME in law enforcement who MAY have been looking to provoke a GOLDEN MOMENT of confrontration that would JUSTIFY a LAWFUL EXECUTION of Terron in order to SILENCE Terron’s efforts and send a message to the Family and other Truth Seekers?

      Had Terron, IN CRISIS, received death threats? And, while still distraught and in mourning over his “Brother’s” death, along with the pressure of being followed by Law Enforcement, understandably (but, not lawfully) armed himself, and became overwhelmed and out-of-control — and, just snapped?

      • DS….I lived in the Antelope Valley all of my life until moving to AZ a few years ago, and can honestly say I never before heard Kern County described as “the deep south of the west!” Do you have a reference for that statement? Just curious!

The true story of Rosamond is it was a gold mining town established in 1877 by the railroad. If there were ever hangings, which none are listed or talked about it was because someone stole, gold. Gold was taken out so fast the town really never grew and was used to fill Steam locomotives with water before they went up the mountains to Bakersfield. Other than that it was close to being a ghost town till many years after the Army built a base to train pilots for WWI known now as part of Edwards.

Where’s the story that his brother was homeless, and had a social service case, why did no one in his family allow him to stay with them. All these half told stories to make the public believe untruths is just going to make matters worse.     • So what happened in Philando Castilles case when he stayed inside his car, with his fiance and his 4 year old daughter and was gunned down sitting inside his car (without a weapon)?

      • I’m always impressed how people can just remove all relevant facts to the situation.

        Castile alerts the police that he is in fact carrying a firearm and has a permit. The officers have no way of knowing whether that is true or not at that very second but the cop tells Castile CLEARLY, not to reach for the gun and “don’t pull it out” THREE times as Castile is reaching his hand towards the waistband.
        Maybe he’s getting ID, maybe thinks he should pull out the gun and show it to them or maybe he has the permit on him to show but either way, when the cop says don’t move and don’t pull it out and you keep moving, you will get shot.

They find a young African American male hanging, no chair to speak of there for him to get himself up in the tree and then his half brother gets shot up by law enforcement the next day or soon there after. They said the half brother was under investigation for other crimes and people on here act as if he was already found guilty. He never got his day in court, it’s all Very weird, suspicious and it’s not a coincidence..
        What ever happened to Innocent until proven guilty that’s what it’s suppose to be, but some of us know it’s really guilty until proven innocent. In his case they were the judge and jury and who really knows. I know what the cops are capable of and if you think there not pissed off with all the crap coming down with law enforcement than your blind.
        I have been arrested by the sheriffs dept in the AV and I’m a white female and one thing I know is they beat me up, lied on my police reports every time I was arrested. And yes before you say I deserved it cuz I wasn’t behaving. I did drugs, during that portion of my life, that was my crime they came to my home without a warrant however I was in my own home. They stomped on my 4 th amendment so bad and they could cared a less. I was threatened to sign the consent to search and if I didnt sign, the cop would f my life up so bad I wouldn’t know which way to turn, I didn’t have a choice. I’m keeping this real, the cops lie to justify their arrests. They threaten, lie, coerce, fight, bully and they fight dirty and they get results because they have the power and when ur in it, your a nobody and scared and u do feel defeated. If you don’t think they would pull some crap to cover shit up than your a fool. I’m not saying it was them, I’m just saying don’t think it isn’t possible. I don’t trust them. All this considered the guy in Rosmond was killed by the mob in Palmdale that hyped the LACSD murdering his brother.
