Forgery suspect taken into custody in Antelope Valley

LANCASTER – A 22-year-old man suspected of forging checks in the Antelope Valley was arrested Monday evening.

“We are happy to report that thanks to your tips, (the suspect) has been arrested,” said Ali Villalobos, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster Station.

Detectives asked for the public’s help on Nov. 6 in locating the suspect, identified as Blake David Estrada, who also goes by the name Blake Herman, Villalobos said.

Details of where and when Estrada was taken into custody were not disclosed.

The department did not immediately release information regarding when and where Estrada was suspected of forging checks and for what amounts.

    In an unrelated incident- a local zoo is missing “Blake” one of it’s giraffes.
