PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale earned an Achievement in IT Practices award from the Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC) in recognition of its quality information technology practices.
The award was presented to Palmdale’s Information Technology Director Stuart Thompson on behalf of the city at the 2019 MISAC Conference in Monterey, CA.
The Achievement in IT Practices award is intended to foster and recognize outstanding governance and operation practices. This award also recognizes achievement in information technology practices that have met or exceeded local government standards. The submission and evaluation process requires the submission of a detailed questionnaire that examines the practices across 10 different subject areas.
Palmdale also received a Quality in IT Practices award from MISAC in 2018.
MISAC is comprised of public agency information technology professionals working throughout California. MISAC promotes the understanding and strategic use of information technology within local government agencies through sharing of best practices. John Thomas says
Inexperienced leadership cost our city a great city manager. Staff is not going to stay either, Palmdale is in trouble!
William says
Tell Emma. She thinks giving Hofbauer and the other Rex minions a “chance” is the answer.
The question is “What is she smoking?”
Accomplishment says
It is nice to see that someone is accomplishing something.
Dan Becker says
At least something new is happening in Palmdale and this happens to be the staff doing good work. We have a do nothing City Council judging by the State of the City article I read. Trying to take credit of the former Mayors agenda is showing leadership by committee can’t develop a real agenda. I have heard the City Council is divided and fighting with each other and the City Manager has had enough and decided to retire with 2 years left on his contract. stay tuned for more Lancaster interference as they chose the next City Manager.
Tim Scott says
The staff doing good work really isn’t new…but it might become obsolete. If Sellout Steve follows the Wrecks plan for looting your city we can expect a “city manager” with no particular qualifications other than being a “good local guy who relates well with the mayor and council.” In other words, an accomplice. The days of hiring a qualified and experienced city manager are probably behind us.
John Thomas says
It’s good the Mayors plan to close the swap meet has failed and the courts have rejected his vindictive agenda. Why does he hate the swap meet? Palmdale is drifting badly!
Eyes on Hofbauer says
If Hofbauer doesn’t accomplish anything but taking credit for what was already in the pipeline that Mayor Ledford did work on, he won’t be re-elected.
If Hofbauer doesn’t do for Rex, Rex will find another fool and Hofbauer won’t be re-elected.
If Hofbauer does do Rex’s bidding, it will be used against him next election and he won’t be re-elected.
Tim Scott says
This is an incredibly optimistic view.
