Profile Defenders The Shark Tank Show and How ORM Has Gone Mainstream

by Content Partner • October 22, 2019

By Jeremy Biberdorf

Thanks to Brand Yourself’s appearance on the popular ABC show, there is now recognition of reputation management services when somebody contacts Profile Defenders because they often mention The Shark Tank.

BrandYourself is one of the fastest-growing reputation management agencies in the United States. The company, which was featured on the Shark Tank TV Show in 2015 has undoubtedly become a trailblazer. It offers a comprehensive service that incorporates self-service and premium features, which involve hands-on assistance from online reputation management (ORM) experts.

It is widely recognized as a prominent profile defender. Clients take advantage of more than 100 employees who specialize in various aspects of ORM.

The Shark Tank Show

BrandYourself has generated millions in funding over the years. This has been viewed as a vote of confidence in the abilities of its founders. As part of the entity’s investment drive, the firm was featured on the Shark Tank Show in 2015. This provided a good chance to raise additional capital to grow the business.

Robert Herjavec showed interest by pledging $2 million in return for a 25 percent stake in the venture. However, Patrick Ambron, who is one of the founders, rejected the offer. He cited one reason for turning down Robert’s offer. BrandYourself could not undermine the company’s valuation by accepting $2 million for a 25 percent stake.

Instead, the firm was prepared to offer Herjavec a 13 percent stake. This would be fair for all stakeholders, especially existing investors. Ambron’s decision paid off as the business has since flourished. A few years after declining Herjavec’s offer, BrandYourself accepted an investment offer during BBC’s Dragons’ Den Show.

Profile Defenders Shark Tank references now happen almost weekly, and the other ORM service providers are often compared. Ambron and his team did not compromise the company’s valuation and the interest of the existing investors and has thrived ever since!

Reputation management services

Removing negative articles, customer reviews, images and videos is the best way to clean up your online image. However, this solution is not always possible. As such, ORM experts only accept payments for content removal after confirming that the solution is feasible. In some cases, it is necessary to opt for the legal route.

The reputation repair process encompasses various stages, including research, development, content creation, publishing, and promotion. This process is applicable if content removal from search engines and third-party sites is impossible. For this reason, agencies work hard to dilute the search results with positive content that showcases your company’s positive attributes.

The research phase allows us to identify keywords related to negative content. In addition, agencies also focus on all top search phrases associated with your name. ORM specialists proceed to identify any positive content published on third-party sites to maximize the impact of the campaign.

The repair process can also involve building new websites, social media profiles, web optimization on existing platforms, video profiles and creating or optimizing business listings.

Content creation is a costly and time-consuming component of the business reputation repair process. The content can include white papers, e-books, press releases, slideshows, infographics, social media posts, and blogs. Agencies can also post replies to negative customer reviews on your behalf based on specific instructions.

The process can take several months to complete depending on the severity of the crisis. Prices also vary.
