“Tails of Spring” coming to Yellen Dog Park

by The AV Times Staff • March 11, 2019

PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale will host a “Tails of Spring” event this Saturday at Yellen Dog Park.

It’s happening from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the park, located at 5100 East Avenue S in Palmdale. This event is free and open to the public.

“We are looking forward to the bright skies of Spring,” stated Senior Program Leader Joi Christy. “Dress up your dogs and join us as we dance like no one is watching. This free event will allow your dog the opportunity to engage with other dogs inside the enclosure.”

Recreation staff will be on site for park engagement.

Animal control will be in attendance looking for licenses, and giving fines.

Be careful what you post on here! The AV Times is cracking down posts that do not fit their political agenda.

The AV Times is a breath of fresh air in this Valley. It is one source not controlled by Rex and the corrupt Lancaster political machine.

        Long live the AV Times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, according to the commenters on here, Palmdale is now a corrupt political machine. Is the A.V. Times now being run by the corrupt Lancaster political machine, being run by the corrupt political machine in Palmdale? What to do, what to do, every thing is corrupt. I would name all the corrupt politicians that you name but it’s exhaustive.

I love the cover Alexis provides to a obvious abuse of power going on in Lancaster and now infecting Palmdale. Your defense is for support of self serving leaders, why?

James Ledford was the man for me, John. Are you saying that my support for him is a defense for self serving leaders? Is the A.V. Times now being run by corrupt self serving politicians in Palmdale? If you read the comment I was addressing, which is about corrupt Lancaster politicians, and not corrupt Palmdale politicians, (A.V. Times) is in Palmdale, right? How you managed to interpret my comment is your problem, and is not even close to the truth. Keep on keepin on, John Thomas. Also, consider the fact that the leaders you have, are elected by the people, so blame them.

Alexis, without sounding too demeaning, I don’t think you would get it if it were laid out in front of you step by step. You are either too nice of a person with a good heart who believes that people wouldn’t do such bad things like influence politicians through contributions, favors, power, and such. Or you simply haven’t been around long enough to know the score.

It’s not pretty in the AV when it comes to politics. In fact, it’s downright ugly.

Hi Frankie… I came here to Edwards as a child, and I love Antelope Valley. I do believe people of wealth influence politicians in any way that people with motives can. Nevertheless, I can only stay on my path, which is to try being a positive influence in this community. I don’t want to wake up every day thinking how downright ugly politics in this valley are, being in a state of misery while I’m here. The people voted for the politicians they wanted, and that is the way it is, like it or not. I’m going to consider going to Yellen Park with my best friend, and have a peaceful day. You can think about all the ugliness in the A.V., along with the other commenters who know the score. Again, the people, yes, the people in the A.V. voted for these politicians, so you get the politicians you deserve. I am grateful for the life I have been given, and you can’t demean me.

You do have a wonderful and kind heart Alexis. There should be more people like you.

We also need people who can see what others who are not like you do to hurt people and do what we can to expose it. It may not affect you and your ability to go to the park with your best friend and have a peaceful day. But if does affect lives, jobs, livelihoods, and reputations.

I’m thankful for both the kindhearted and those who expose evildoers.
