LOS ANGELES -A Lancaster man and three teens who are suspected of working as a “knock-knock” burglary crew were arrested this week after they allegedly robbed a North Hollywood home, authorities said.

The men were spotted around 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, by a task force made up of the sheriff’s major crimes bureau, burglary robbery task force and Simi Valley police, according to Deputy Grace Medrano.

Detectives followed the four suspects as they traveled in a black Mercedes Benz sedan through North Hollywood, Panorama City and into Sun Valley where the car stopped in front of a home on Burton Street, Medrano said.

Detectives watched as the four men emerged from the home carrying property. As the suspects prepared to drive off, detectives stopped the four men and arrested them. They recovered more than $7,500 worth of items that included jewelry, designer handbags, electronic equipment and cash, Medrano said.

The men arrested included 23-year-old Tyler Williams of Lancaster and 18-year-olds Jermel White, Jermain White and Antonio Houston of Los Angeles.

All four men were booked on charges of residential burglary and each held on $50,000 bail, Medrano said. On Friday, Sept 28, the four suspects were charged in San Fernando Court with two counts of attempted burglary, conspiracy, and residential burglary.

Detectives believe the four suspects are also connected to numerous recent Los Angeles and San Bernardino County residential “knock-knock” type burglaries.

If you feel you have been a victim of this type of burglary or have any information about this incident,  contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Detective Kurinij at 562-946-7187.  To remain anonymous, call “Crime Stoppers” at 800-222-TIPS (8477).

Most if not all mass shootings, homicides-suicides have been done by whites. ..what’s your point? ???
    Should other races profile?
Come out of your closet and Just say it.
I AM RACIST. You’ll get more respect than asking “How can I be racist if I have black friends?” Or I like this one, ” How can I be racist, if I am .00000009% black???,
YOU(and yes YOU) DO NOT i repeat, DO NOT, DECIDE IF YOU ARE RACIST.

What it took to be profiled in this case was driving to someone else’s home and stealing their stuff. THAT is what put them in this position. They were not victimized – the home owner was.

As far as I know nobody said anything about them being profiled. They were followed because they were actual suspects, not just random people chosen for their blackness. The local gang of brainless racists is just beating their gums about how a carload of criminals that happen to be black calls for profiling and pulling over every car with black people in it.

Here’s an interesting fact; in terms of sheer numbers there are more white criminals than black criminals, so how about we set up some profiling stops and just start randomly pulling over white people? When NY City was doing their unconstitutional ‘stop and frisk’ program they hardly ever pulled up any white people, but when they did they had a higher percentage hit for contraband, so why aren’t we calling for ‘stop and frisk’ the white people since we are apparently more likely to find contraband that way? Because the people calling for it are RACISTS, that’s why.

Out of 100 assaults and burglaries at challenger and ave J, 95 are committed by African Americans, I’m I being racist? Absolutely not, I’m being realistic, so why does society insist very hard to put in our heads, that all races are the same? Excuse me, but if you look at the statistics, out of one million Japanese only 1% are criminals, while out of one million African Americans, 90% are criminals ? Can’t cover the facts .

“90% of African Americans are criminals” isn’t a fact. 100% of you is an idiot, and that’s a fact.

        Yeah! Don’t be born black!

Mama, you do realize that that is all it takes to “put yourself in a position to be profiled,” right?

        • Depends says

          September 29, 2018 at 4:34 pm

Depends on what you are being profiled for. A lot of the time you place yourself into a position to be profiled. People/ places that you hang out at/ with, clothes that you wear, attitudes that you have, etc. sometimes you need to take responsibility for YOUR choice to put yourself there (although they never do). If you drive a cherry red, turbo charged car that just happens to be what all the “cool” kids are driving, don’t get upset because your constantly getting singled out in a group fully of speeders.
I of course am only speaking on situational profiling (is that a real word?!), not on things that you have no control over. Ie. race, gender, religion, sexual preference, etc.

          • Tim Scott says

            September 29, 2018 at 5:51 pm

It does depend what you are getting profiled for, and it’s good that you say it shouldn’t be for race, gender, etc. However, there are some issues related to your ‘situational profiling.’

There are parts of town which are noted for “gang activity.” The shriff’s department will provide statistics showing that they get far more ‘gang activity’ calls in these areas than they get in other parts of town. If you dig further they will also provide a startling statistic showing what a huge fraction of these “gang activity” calls turn out to be black men sitting outside playing dominoes.

I had some neighbors for a while. They played a lot of dominoes. I’d play with them sometimes. My gf would peep out the window at them and say “why are they OUT there?” She never called the cops, but she was really uncomfortable about it because her parents raised her on “never do anything where the neighbors can see you unless it is something everyone else in the neighborhood does, because that means it is a ‘normal’ thing to do.” So she thinks it is weird to see anyone out in their front yard doing anything other than mowing. Would you want her making determinations about situations that merit profiling? How about all the people who ARE calling the cops about the ‘gang activity’ of playing dominoes?
