Where are you going? No one who writes comments like yours ever tells us.

You’re anonymous (I assume) and it’s not likely that we’ll follow you to some unspoiled paradise.

My guess is that after a while, you’ll be just as miserable wherever you go and, then, you will continue to post on the AV Times telling us how bad the Antelope Valley is.

Look at Alexis. Someone said she moved to Tehachapi and, yet, she still rags on Mayor Ledford. She’s still happy nor satisfied. Nor will she ever be.

I’ve seen that so many times.

Around 15 years ago I got into a heated discussion with Mayor Ledford…at the time the city was spending $25,000 a year on the Latino Business Association. I do not like public money being used for private affairs. He told me it was so that Latinos could learn how to do business in Palmdale. I told him none of the hundreds of illegal alien street vendors cared about obeying the law. Now it looks like we know why..Ledford also doesn’t like obeying the law. This is pure BS. If Latino business wants to do their thing..great but it should not be on the taxpayers dime.

      Mayor Ledford got greedy.

You’re confusing mayor’s. Parris is the greedy one. By suing his two neighboring ciities and school districts for voting districts he refuses to use in his poorly represented city, he reached a new low even for trial lawyers. Plus all he does for campaign contributions from BYD, Visco, InSite, etc.

All Ledford gas done is lead Palmdale from a small town to the leading city in the High Desert.

He’s got our backs. He’s got my vote.

I’m not confusing mayor’s. I know Parris is greedy, and he lives in Lancaster. James Ledford, Kimberly Shaw, and Susan Miller need to answer for their crimes. Shell companies run by Shaw, and Miller, and paying Ledford $60,000 a year. Not declaring the money received, and giving Kimberly Shaw a raise. Embezzlement, stealing from public funds, etc. They need to be held accountable for betraying the public trust. You go ahead a vote for him, and excuse him. Most people will look the other way when they get what they want (amenities) in Palmdale.

I also know that as a Christian, James Ledford is somewhat aware that all of us will be held accountable by God when the time comes. That also includes Rex Parris or any other leader of a community, that is held to a higher standard when it comes to transparency, or any other sin that falls short of God’s plumb line.

Crimes according to whom, Voter? According to Rex? Like the crimes he accused Raymond Lee Jennings, Randy Floyd, and Esmeralda Jorge of committing? Crimes like those? You mean, accusations.

Let the court decide if crimes have been committed or if this is another one of Rex’s witch hunts.

If Rex and his attack dog DUI Drew weren’t behind this, I would be much more suspect. The problem is, I have been around this Valley for a long time and have seen how the corrupt Lancaster group is and how desperate they are to raid Palmdale’s coffers.

My vote is for Ledford, not the Lancaster puppet.

According to the Grand Jury who’s sole purpose is to evaluate the evidence presented. Evidence gathered in the raids that were conducted The Grand Jury decided there was enough evidence of criminal wrong doing to bring it to trial. The Grand Jury is separate from the courts. I have been around this Valley for a long time also. Your choice to vote for Ledford.

            July 27, 2018 at 2:20 pm

The Grand Jury? Was this the same Grand Jury that found enough ‘evidence’ to bring Raymond Lee Jennings, Randy Floyd, and Esmeralda Jorge to court? Or was is Rex’s influence and donations?

Raymond Lee Jennings. Strike one. Randy Floyd. Strike two. Esmeralda Jorge. Strike three. Rex is out. Do not forget how he said that Johnathan Ervin, an African American veteran, was a ‘gang candidate’. Ervin has never had gang ties. This is what Rex and the Lancaster political machine does.

Besides, I, and people of color, would be foolish to vote for Ledford’s opponent who has a long history of making racial and racist statements. No thank you.

I know this is hard for you and the Lancaster elite to comprehend, but charges against a person and a conviction are two different things. In the United States of America, a person is innocent until proven guilty. In Rex’s bizarre world, justice is in his twisted mind and is echoed by his pathetic followers.

            One vote cast for Ledford.

Just for the record, “voter,” a grand jury is not asked to rule on guilt or innocence. In fact, there is no presentation of a defense. The prosecution, in this case known liar DUI Drew, presents whatever they want and in almost all cases the grand jury says “okay, that looks like a case.” Unfortunately the world is full of buffoons who fill up jury boxes and have it preset in their idiotic little heads that “if they weren’t guilty we wouldn’t be here,” because they, like you, don’t have a clue what a grand jury ruling actually means.

The idea of a “fair trial” has been consumed by the general level of ignorance that constitutes a jury pool.

Is this the same Grand Jury that gave us cases on Raymond Lee Jennings, Randy Floyd, and Esmeralda Jorge? All Rex fueled witch hunts which wasted tax dollars and resulted in zero, zippo, nada.

When Rex and his attack dog DUI Drew are involved, you know it’s politically motivated.

The Grand Jury does not decide guilt or innocence, Tim. I said The Grand Jury is separate from the courts. They only review the evidence, and decide if it should go to trial. Please try to comprehend the comments I make, before you say the same thing I did. Palmdale voter, every Grand Jury is different, Not the same. Too many uninformed voters in Palmdale. Now you’re calling the jury pool buffoons, Tim, but you and too many others don’t have a clue. Your anger issues get in the way, and the other one keeps bringing up the same three people that have nothing to do with Mayor Ledford. People like you are scary, because you are completely uninformed. You will keep crying about all the buffoons that are running things, and you can’t see your own buffoonery, and your lack of initiative to DO anything but stand on your box and pontificate. Blah, blah, blah.

Voter, please stay in Lancaster with Rex, Marv, Drew, Randy, and the rest. You fit in so well.

But you are right about uniformed voters. If voters knew there was a blatant racist and two Lancaster puppets were running, they would reject them.

Ricky, I live in Palmdale. The bloviators that constantly bash the politicians in Palmdale, but can’t see what James Ledford has done. Of course you want proof, but only when it comes to the one’s you like. I am not “voter,” but voter has said he lives in Palmdale, also. According to you, Tim, and others, there’s plenty of corruption going on in Palmdale. Question for you; what proof do you have that Steve Hofbauer, Austin Bishop, and Mr. Carrillo are corrupt? Do you know Laura Bettencourt received Rex Parris’ blessing ? Come to think of it, you all will bloviate more, and your opinions are not even based on any facts. I bet none of you have checked the assets/declaration on any of these politicians, and that’s why you’re uninformed.

Thank you, Ricky, but I will stay in Palmdale, where I have been voting for forty years. Tim loves to bloviate, along with the commenters that continually bring up the politicians in Lancaster, because they are too lazy to inform themselves, by looking at asset declarations for all the politicians running for office. There have been a few that say they do, but I know they haven’t, because of their comments.
