LANCASTER – A Littlerock woman was convicted Tuesday of murdering her boyfriend, who was shot six times in the head just over three years ago.
Jurors found Ana Rosenda Mancio, also known as Ana Delgado, 43, guilty of first-degree murder for the April 28, 2015 slaying of Miguel Romero, 46.
Romero was shot to death while delivering rolls of corn for animals in Littlerock, according to prosecutors. The motive for the shooting was not clear.
Mancio subsequently fled the country through Mexico to Guatemala by claiming a family emergency, according to evidence presented in court.
She returned to the United States six months later through Florida, according to prosecutors.
She was charged in July 2016 and arrested in July 2017 by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, according to court and jail records.
Mancio is facing 26 years to life in state prison, with sentencing set for July 6 in a Lancaster courtroom, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

I am happy to know truth has come out, the whole family was involved in the murder, wife has been sentenced to life, husband in jail crying like a little girl to the judge to let him out. I am glad they all are going down and destroyed as they did to the family of that poor man who they didn’t give any chance of defending himself.
they killed him in the most cower way a human been can be killed, now is their time to taste hell.
may they all rotten in hell!

Just saw that Edwin Mancio and his kids are in jail as of 06/04/2018. I got to know this entire family. To tell you the truth I never saw this being played out like this. The kids are or where when I knew them where good kids. Had jobs and where studious. Praying that the entire truth comes out and that the families affected get justice and some sort of resolution…
Mister j says
Where in jail?
MisterO says

Pickle freak says

MisterO says
Don’t know if they are allowing visitors for Edwin or Anna. You can check on LASD inmate check. The kids where released, would like to see them. I’ve been worried about them.
AV guardian says
You all need to know a little bit more about the case before making conclusions and pointless comments!
Tim Scott says
Technically, you only need to know anything if you want to make an informed comment. There’s really no prerequisite if all you want to make is a pointless comment.
David Davis says
Maybe he had another woman and she got jealous. Maybe her ex husband cheated on her and she was building up rage. She has to be careful in prison that lesbians don’t drop their soap on purpose.
Alexis says
AV guardian…99.9% if the comments (opinions) are not informed comments. Most comments here are pointless, and I include myself. Biased perceptions are not facts. So you can be thankful that these opinions are not used in a court of law, or used to determine the truth, nor should be used to condemn anyone. People try though.

Justice has been served!
kind of remember all haters posting negative comments and stupid assumptions and judging the first person they could thing of back then when the man got shot.
hope they read this and learn not to open their mouth to spit venom just because they want to.
sadly, again, people pointing finger to the woman’s family not knowing the facts of the case, also blaming detectives and police on not doing their job as they should.
question? did you really know how hard and how many hours these people put up to get to the truth and bring the right person to justice?
hope you never have to be in same situation, neither one is pleasant at all nor a victim neither a criminal, in this case two families have been destroyed just for one act of revenge ! my prayer go to them hoping the soon fin peace in their hearts……god bless
Alexis says
I am thankful that people aren’t tried and convicted by the court of public opinion. That doesn’t stop commenters from doing all they can to destroy reputations.
Tim Scott says
To a great degree they are convicted by the court of public opinion. From the first press release by the sheriff’s department the prosecution is consciously striving to shape public opinion, which will eventually be reflected in the jury pool.
Alexis says
Sometimes. There is a jury selection process, and when it works it is the best system in the world. Evidence is presented and a person is convicted beyond a reasonable doubt. My comment is for those that comment on here, and try to label someone guilty with no evidence, only hearsay. There are people that believe hearsay and spread it as truth. You know what my comment meant, so you go right ahead and spin your agenda.
Tim Scott says
Well, I wasn’t actually aware that you were just backhandedly criticizing commenters. I took your comment on the court of public opinion at face value. We do have a great system, but there are definitely exploitable points in that system. We should all try to keep in mind that the prosecution has much greater access to molding the opinion of the jury pool before selection, and that is one of the exploitable points.
Susan says
Hard to believe she shot her lover 6 times in the head. Where is her husband? Investigators just want to close the case without finding out the truth.
ray says
That is not the case. Every detail isn’t going to be put out there.
Malene says
Or her two daughter they all just disappeared. Know one even mentions them they are all involved if they weren’t they wouldn’t have fled.
Jay says
Exactly! why flee if you’re not involved?
Patrick says
So everybody is just gunna look past the fact that this was not her boyfriend as he was married and so was she? They were lovers. And where is her Husband Edwin Mancio? Didnt he flee the US too?!
Sandra says
How can you find a person guilty when you can’t figure out what the motive was. Unbelievable.
Anonymous says
Motive is quite simple. She was married, her boyfriend was actually her lover and when her husband caught them, murder was her only way out, question here is he’s (Edwin) still missing and it seems like no one is in a hurry to find him. ♂️
Nikki says
I thought the exact same thing
MR says
You both should’ve been at court since you want to act like you know much. There was motive and there was evidence. Not every detail is going to be put out there. These are delicate topic. They both have families. Have respect for their privacy
Rachel says
If the husband didnt pull the trigger he was still involved one way or the other. Why would he flee if he wasn’t?!
She was having an affair. Her husband found out; who is a complete nut job and this happens.

Respect?! Really! They ruined someone else’s family. An innocent man was murdered. I hope they put away everyone envolved.
Ray says
There was motive and there was evidence. They’re obviously not going to put every detail out there. Have some respect for both sides of the family. And their privacy. It’s a delicate subject and not everything is need to know by the public!!
jf says
the motive doesnt really matter.
