Anybody else almost have a nervous breakdown trying to apply for a job on these pathetic ATS systems? It’s enough to force an applicant to give up and become a homeless person. These companies ask to upload your resume then on the next page explain again EXACTLY what’s on your resume before clicking to the next screen to detail your skills-which are already on your f…..king resume. Corporations are doing an excellent job forcing otherwise excellent candidates to simply not apply to their company. Go die corporate America!!!!

This job economy is hopping! Grocery-bagger jobs stay posted for 4 months. I’m sure finding somebody to ask paper or plastic takes some real talent. I work in tech, a regretful decision if their ever was, and one job I phone interviewed for 6-7 years ago is still posted online. The same exact job is still posted as if they must have some serious turnover or management problems or it is simply one more fake job opening to make the job market appear stronger. Job RED FLAG alert! Bow to your Corporate Overlords.

Well, that leaves me out. I wouldn’t pass the background check, and I can’t lift 50 lbs.

If you go to Alaska yourself and bypass the hoops that “America’s Job Center of California” makes you go through, the only requirement to work in the hatcheries, canneries or fish farms is that you have a pulse.

Pretty much the same case with being on one of Rex’s commissions. Except you need to be a leg humper and a yes man, too.

A lot of people lack either the means to get their own transport from Seattle or the confidence to go to what is pretty much the fringe of civilization without a ‘job in hand.’
