Hiring event for construction project

PALMDALE – America’s Job Center of California  will host a hiring event next week for a construction project in Valencia.

The hiring event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Job Center, located at 38510 Sierra Highway in Palmdale.

The positions are full time and include rack installers, construction labor, construction clean up and general labor.

Potential candidates should have some prior experience, knowledge of power tools, ability to lift 50-60 pounds, and have steel toe shoes. The pay rate is $13 an hour.

Interested applicants are encouraged to bring their California ID/driver’s license, social security card and resume to the hiring event. Candidates must be registered with CalJobs and come dressed professionally.

    I’m waiting for the pot growing jobs. I was made to grow weed.

      Growing weeds is easy…even I can do that. I’m gonna guess that growing the kind of pot that the current market demands probably requires something between an advanced degree in agricultural engineering and a lightning strike of good luck.

      I seriously doubt that Wrecks and his crony squad are going to be any better at it than they are at developing advanced surveillance tools for law enforcement. Fortunately for them the taxpayers of Lancaster will no doubt subsidize them enough that they will make money anyway.
