AV Hospital Foundation to host annual gala fundraiser

by The AV Times Staff • September 5, 2017

LANCASTER – The Antelope Valley Hospital Foundation is hosting its annual gala fundraiser on Sept. 23 at the Autry Museum of the American West, located at 4700 Western Heritage Way in Los Angeles.

Themed “Glamour and the Gold Rush,” the gala will feature entertainment, dinner, dancing, and silent and live auctions. All proceeds benefit the Antelope Valley Hospital emergency department.

Tickets are $250 each and can be purchased online at avhospital.org/events or by calling 661-949-5810.

AV Hospital has the third busiest emergency department in California, seeing upwards of 120,000 patients each year. The hospital also has the only trauma center within 50 miles, which treats approximately 1,000 patients annually.

“The annual Antelope Valley Hospital Foundation gala is a great way to raise much needed funds for a critical area of our hospital,” stated Lori Fischer, chairperson of the gala planning committee. “We are grateful for the community’s support in making this event a success each year, and we encourage local residents to join us in our effort to improve AV Hospital’s emergency department.”

In addition to the gala, the hospital’s foundation is selling raffle tickets for an opportunity drawing to win a three-year lease on either a 2017 Ram Truck 1500 Crew Cab Express or 2017 Jeep Unlimited Sport or $12,000. Second prize is $2,000, and third prize is $1,000. Only 500 tickets will be sold. Each ticket is $100.
