by The AV Times Staff • August 26, 2017

PALMDALE – A man was found stabbed to death Friday in Palmdale, authorities said.

The incident was reported around 8 a.m. in the 37600 block of Patty Court, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

“Palmdale deputy personnel responded regarding an ‘open door’ at the location. Upon arrival deputy personnel entered the location, and found a male black adult unconscious on the floor,” the news release states.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death of the victim does not appear to be natural causes, and is being treated as a homicide. Preliminary investigations were believed to be that of a stabbing, although homicide detectives have yet to determine the exact cause of death,” the news release states.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information at this time, detectives said. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact sheriff’s homicide detectives at 323-890-5500.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Vincent Coleman Roper, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

“You’d be surprised how much Santa Clarita rivals the Av as far as crime goes” Hmmm, please post stats…that is highly doubtful.

He did say they do a better job of hiding the stats, so don’t be surprised if he doesn’t have any. I will say though that there are areas in Santa Clarita that are pretty harsh. It isn’t all Valencia Prigville, no matter how much Foolco wants to pretend that that’s all there is to Santa Clarita.

All of you need to quit this [removed], if you don’t like the area gtfo. Do you actually think this is the only city where these things happen . You’d be surprised how much Santa Clarita rivals the Av as far as crime goes . They’re just doing a better job at hiding the stats.
