PALMDALE – A 14-year-old boy was wounded Monday evening in a shooting in Palmdale, and the shooter was in custody, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies summoned the Los Angeles County Fire Department about 8:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, to the 38200 block of 11th Street East in Palmdale, a fire department dispatcher said.
The victim was walking in a group of five when a gunman approached and fired at them, striking the victim three times, authorities said. The shooter and the victim are known to each other, authorities added.
The teen was airlifted to the hospital and is expected to survive, according to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
The alleged shooter’s name was immediately released.

Can anyone tell me the race of the victim and suspect? I can’t find it which leads me to believe someone is playing race baiting or protecting games.

I have been a resident of the AV since 1993, my parents bought a new home in East Palmdale at that time. Now this city is constantly on the news (of course not about good things) when before people “from down below” didn’t even know where the Antelope Valley was. If the City of Los Angeles keeps raising rents and the government of CA does not clean up its social programs then we will keep hearing similar news. Thank you to all of those that voted for “the early release” last Fall, since many families that visit their loved ones will find that the AV is a good fit for them finacially, especially if they are a Section 8 voucher holder. They will stay and call the AV home. While hard working people live pay check to pay check, trying to stay in the “middle class.” For all those from West Palmdale and/or West Lancaster if you don’t know this East Palmdale covers high rate rent and high property areas like 65th East which was also in the news when parents and students were caught in a brawl at Pete Knight High and if you go off perception that location is not a high crime area. So what happened there? Oh, wait uneducated people acting “crazy.” Home owners stop being greedy and don’t accept Section 8. Clean up the Antelope Valley. Sale or rent to hard working individuals, but if a greedy investor buys and rents to Section 8 then there you go. I know not all Section 8 occupants are bad, I have met several hard working people trying to make a better life for themselves with the assistance of California’s social programs, but its not meant to live on it forever. LA stop sending your people to the AV.

This area has a high crime rate. Has for many years.

As compared to what?

This article is about a crime that happened on a street in Palmdale, Ca. which happens to be a high crime area. You should be out trying to undermine the elected politicians, instead of typing.
Fact Check says
Lancaster has a higher crime rate under the leadership of Rex and Marv.
Tim Scott says
Something over half the cities the size of Palmdale across the country have higher crime rates. Factually speaking, even the higher crime rate in Lancaster isn’t really very high for cities of that size.
“alex” is just playing the “criminals behind every bush” song to justify his continued cowering behind his keyboard to himself..

East Palmdale….

Do you have a point here?
East Lancaster Resident says
Foolco’s only point is on the top of his head. He, like his Daddy Rex, have obviously never been to East Lancaster, which truly is the low point of the entire Antelope Valley. You could argue that the meth heads in Littlerock and Lake LA could give East Lancaster a run for being the dregs, but top to bottom East Lancaster is the absolute pits.

Is this Trump’s fault too?
Matt says
Why not? Everything use to be Obama’s.
Tim Scott says
Once there was a president who said about his office “the buck stops here.” Trump took that to mean it was an opportune place to get richer.
