PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale is inviting artisans to participate in the second annual Kaleidoscope Music & Art Festival.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Palmdale Amphitheater, located at 2723 Rancho Vista Boulevard in Palmdale. Admission and parking are free.

Artisans who work in mediums of blown glass, jewelry, printmaking, ceramics, leather, sculpture, clothing and textiles, mixed media, woodwork, fused glass, painting, illustration, photography and other forms of art are encouraged to apply for a booth by downloading an application at www.PalmdaleAmphitheater.com.

View the Professional Artist Application here, the Student/Novice Artist Application here, the Mosaic Stage Performer Application here, and the Fresh Made Market Application here.

Applications must be returned by Sept. 1 to:

Annie Pagliaro
City of Palmdale, Recreation & Culture
38260 10th St. East, Palmdale, CA 93550.

Booths are available for $100, which is refundable. The completed application should be accompanied by a submission of six photos of the artist’s work, a biography or an artist’s statement. Details are available on the application.

As part of the event’s mission, it is requested that exhibitors provide an informational display for visitors that highlights the artist’s work, provides background biography, and provides information on how the artwork was created.  Examples include a photo display, video or published articles with a description of how the art was created.  A demonstration of an essential element of the art in the booth is highly desirable.

Kaleidoscope will also feature live chalk art; live music by Stone Soul, High-D Boys and Paddy’s Pig; visual and performing arts, Art of the Brew craft beer + Brushes & Brews; Fresh Made Market Culinary & Apothecary, food, vendors and much more.
