Human remains found in Lake Hughes

by The AV Times Staff • April 28, 2017

LAKE HUGHES – Investigators continued to search the Lake Hughes area Friday after remains found there were determined to be human.

The remains were found just before noon Thursday, April 27, in the area of Templin Highway and Old Ridge Route, east of Interstate 5, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Authorities have determined that the remains were of human origin, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives learned that an environmental survey study crew made the discovery, Schrader said.

“The remains appear to have been in the area for a long period of time,” Schrader said on Thursday. “Due to treacherous terrain, the recovery … was suspended for the day.”

The recovery effort resumed Friday morning, Winter said.

Lots of serial killers have entered the truck driving profession. The issue has gotten so serious that the FBI now has a specific unit dedicated to tracking serial killers operating along Interstate highways.

Lots of them will target prostitutes, specifically.

A hooker in Castaic was kidnapped and raped, and many dead bodies have shown up in the Barstow area:

Lots of bodies found in the Castaic area over the years…I’ve always thought the same thing: serial killer(s) working the I-5 corridor.

Lots of bodies always popping up around Castaic. Yet, houses there command $500k easily. No thanks! Don’t want to live in a serial killer dumping ground and pay that much — just because its close to Valencia (big deal !)

A friend will help you move.

A good friend will help you move a body.

The intersection of Templin Highway and Old Ridge Route is between Castaic Lake and the 5. Nowhere near Lake Hughes. Maybe it was confused with Lake Hughes Road, though that is about 5 miles South of Templin Highway.

Ridge Route and Templin Highway…is a road crossing buried out in the middle of the Los Padres National Forest. No matter what town they called it they’d be wrong. Lake Hughes, Castaic, Gorman…pretty much all about as wrong as the others.
