Position available on Palmdale Recycled Water Authority

Apply NowPALMDALE – The city of Palmdale and the Palmdale Water District are accepting applications for one public member position on the Palmdale Recycled Water Authority for a term to expire in January of 2018.  

An application can be obtained here.

Applicants must reside within the boundaries of the Palmdale Recycled Water Authority, and should demonstrate an interest in the use of recycled water. Applicants should also have the ability and willingness to attend regular meetings of the Board, which meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Palmdale City Council Chamber.

The deadline to return the application is Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at 6 p.m., to the Palmdale City Clerk’s Office, located at 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite C. Applicants are encouraged to attach a resume.

A complete description of the duties and responsibilities and a map showing the boundaries of Palmdale Recycled Water Authority are available at www.cityofpalmdale.org and in the City Clerk’s Office.

If appointed, a Statement of Economic Interests, Form 700, would be required.  

The Public Member shall receive $150 per meeting attended and reimbursement for training expenses.

    Put in your application. I just did mine. Helen Velador currently holds the seat and is doing a great job. But Ledford wants to control this board….he wants his OWN person in.

    Does anybody know if this position is really open? I thought of applying but was told “no change” will be allowed by a certain member of the board.

      If this position interests you, then why not apply. This community can use people who care about making a positive difference. Ignore comments from individuals who spew misinformation.
