PALMDALE – The city of Palmdale will host a free Business Workshop & Industry Cluster Study Workshop this Tuesday, Nov. 15.

The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Chimbole Cultural Center, Manzanita Ballroom, located at 38350 Sierra Highway in Palmdale. The workshop will be led by the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) and the L.A. County Workforce Development Board.

Participants will hear discussions about key industry clusters from LAEDC economist Dr. Christine Cooper.

The workshop will also provide attendees with no-cost resources that are available to help businesses succeed in the Los Angeles County region. Additionally, it will include a Q&A session and panel discussion featuring experts from different L.A. County departments.

Speakers will discuss their checklist requirements and how they can work with businesses to streamline projects through the system and get plans approved.

“We want to help businesses get their projects approved and make it smoother for County Departments as well,” stated Linden Johnson, Assistant Manager, Business Assistance & Development at LAEDC. “Some businesses do experience frustrations in getting the approvals they need to launch their projects. LAEDC’s award-winning Business Assistance Team is here to assist by walking businesses through the approval processes.”

RSVP for this workshop by emailing linden.johnson@laedc.org, or calling 213-236-4839.
