LANCASTER – Organizers are gearing up for the 28th annual Antelope Valley Fair Home Show, coming to the A.V. Fairgrounds April 8-10.

“The Home Show is the place for clever ideas, products and services, including the informative gardening and preserving seminars, free Home Depot make-and-take projects for the kids, and the chance to win a $100 gift card and Fair tickets daily,” said Show coordinator Linda Erb. “We’re looking forward to a great show.”

Featuring more than 125 diverse vendors, the Home Show will take place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 8, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, and Sunday, April 10, at the Fairgrounds, located at 2551 West Avenue H in Lancaster. Admission is free this year and parking is $5.

Professional Home Show exhibitors will demonstrate their products and offer advice to local homeowners looking for new ways to bring efficiency and style to their properties. The Home Show will also feature presentations led by Master Gardeners and Preservers. The Master Gardeners will include Marti Lindsey, Liz O’Brien, Susan Bowman and Laurie Birdwell; and the Preservers will include Ernest Miller, Hae Jung Cho, Nancee Siebert and Judi Woo-Sato. View the schedule for Master Gardeners and Preservers seminars here.

Activities for the kids will include free “make and take” crafts projects on Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free ice cream for children, ages 12 and under, will be provided by California Dairy Distributors and distributed at the A.V. Fair booth, while supplies last. And free tomato plants will be available, one per person.

Home Show attendees can also enter a drawing at the A.V. Fair booth to win tickets to the Palmdale Auto Mall Concert Series, Rally Kia Arena events and general admission to the A.V. Fair (Aug. 19-28, 2016).  Winners for Fair tickets will be drawn, one per hour, during all three days of the Home Show.  Winners need not be present to win Fair tickets.
