LANCASTER – The Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance (GAVEA) will unveil their 2016 Economic Roundtable Report during the Antelope Valley Board of Trade Business Outlook conference in Lancaster on Friday, Feb. 26.
The report, themed Innovation, highlights local businesses and visionaries in a variety of industries, including aerospace, energy, manufacturing and agriculture.
The report also shares how new and old companies are using innovative approaches to succeed in business. Milestones for the major cities across the region are also included in the annual report.
“Our 2016 report exemplifies the way we want to promote the region with positive stories and demographic data to illustrate the growth we are experiencing now and the projection of growth for the future,” stated Kimberly Maevers, President of the Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance. “Our research and data will help everyone in the region tell and sell the Greater Antelope Valley in an effort to retain, expand and attract wealth producing jobs for our workforce.”
GAVEA will host its Investors and Allies quarterly event on March 17, offering a closer look at the 2016 Report. The event will feature several of the innovative business leaders from the report as well. It will take place at the University of Antelope Valley Grand Ballroom, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Now that BYD got caught paying $1.50 an hour and violations labor laws, they may start offering wages barely over minimum wage. But now that Metro is dumping their BYD busses by selling them to AVTA the future doesn’t look as good as Chairman Marve likes to make it out to be. You would be better off working for Aerospace especially with those new jobs coming. They pay good wages.
