LANCASTER – Deputies from the Lancaster Burglary Suppression Team served a search warrant at a local home Monday and seized more than $85,000 in suspected stolen property, authorities said.

Wesley Ellison, 19, was arrested in connection with the raid, which took place around 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, on the 1400 block of West Avenue H-15 in Lancaster, according to Lancaster Community Relations deputy Kit Gruppie.

“Items taken during recent burglaries were located and recovered. Additionally, other items believed to be stolen were seized as well,” Gruppie stated in a news release.

“The total dollar amount of seized property was over $85,000, which consisted of a Rolex watch, diamond jewelry, collector coins, a road bike, collector electric guitar, and miscellaneous electronics,” Gruppie stated.

Twenty home burglary victims have already identified their belongings, according to Gruppie.

“Additional victims are being sought as deputies continue to sort through the recovered property,” he said.

Anyone with information in connection with this incident is encouraged to contact deputies Austin or Bivins of the Lancaster Burglary Suppression Team at 661-948-8466.

Ellison was booked at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station on suspicion of burglary and jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Yes to honest leaders! Let’s get people who are not in the pockets of corporate interests and that can rightly identify with the needs of the people.

20 victims so far identified their property. Means suspect burgled at least 20 residences. Bail set at poultry $50,000.
